14 Days African Safari - Safari code BLT 014
Itinerary:
Day 1 - Arrive Entebbe Airport, to be met by our staff for transfer to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your time of arrival, go for a city tour, visit the exchange bureau to acquire local purchasing power, grab a local meal. Welcome!
Day 02 - Your safari starts with the drive to Murchison Falls National Park driving, via Luwero and Nakasongola. We will have lunch in Masindi before drive to the park into the forest. There's common sightings of olive baboons along the road. You will visit the top of Murchison Falls today and marvel at the glorious and magnificent beauty of creation. Drive to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 - Early riser today, 0700am we head out on a game drive in the park to find; the lions, leopards and hyenas, common sights here are; giraffe, oribi, elephant, jackson's hartebeest, Uganda kob, cape buffalo, waterbuck, baboon, patas monkey, and you will also Abyssinian ground hornbills, fish eagles and many other bird species. After the morning encounter, we return to the lodge where we will relax have lunch. At 2:00pm we take a cruise on the nile, here you can see hippos, crocodiles and many birds species including; african darter, gray heron and goliath herons, yellow-billed storks, kingfishers, on occasion the rare-shoebill stork.

Day 04 - Today, after breakfast we head south to Kibale Forest National Park via Hoima past scenic views of Lake Albert. Have lunch in Hoima and proceed to the forest. Arrive the forest this evening to check in for dinner and overnight. If so desiring, there's a possibility of a nocturnal primate walk.

Day 05 - Chimpanzee tracking - after breakfast, we will embark on the popular chimp tracking. This lasts from 2 to 4 hour and other sights include; black & white colobus monkey, vervet monkey, baboons etc. We return to the information center and head back to our accommodation for lunch. After lunch, take the swamp walk in the Bigodi sanctuary a habitat rich in bird-life some of the most common and sought after being the great blue turaco.

Day 06 - After breakfast, we take a casual drive south to Queen Elizabeth national park. This journey reveals glorious views of "the mountains of the moon" over 16,000ft especially on a clear day, cross the equator before arriving the park to check in. This evening, go out for a game drive. Possible sights are; elephant, cape buffalo, Uganda kob, lion, leopard and more.

Day 07 - Early riser today, 0600am grab a coffee and out to catch the lions, hyenas before they disappear into the thickets. Other animals to see here include; cape buffalo, Uganda kob, warthog ,elephant, leopard,waterbuck. At 300pm, take a cruise on the Kazinga channel a haven for birds, hippo, crocodile, cape buffalo....

Day 08 - Depart 0800am for Kyambura gorge to see the chimps and other primates. Proceed then at approximately 1:00pm to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park host to the mountain gorillas. Arrive to check in, relax or go for an evening village walk and shopping at the craft market.

Day 09 - After 0645am breakfast, head to the information center for a briefing before embarking on the long awaited trek. Gorilla tracking may last only 3hours or up to 8 hours or more. Return to lodge for a well deserved hot shower and rest. This evening you could shop for souvenirs at the craft market, go for a village walk, or just relax and drink in the fresh air of Buhoma.

Day 10 - After breakfast, we drive out at a casual pace heading to Kabale for Lake Bunyonyi - the second deepest lake in East Africa. This is a truly peaceful and tranquil place. Here, you can relax, unwind, swim, canoe, go birding etc. There's several robin chats, wagtails and barbets to fraternize with.

Day 11 - Another day to relax, unwind in one of East Africa's most beautiful and highly elevated locations 7,000ft above sea level With some of the most organized hillside farming, enjoy the clean fresh air, go swimming, canoeing, bird watching.

Day 12 - Depart 0900am out to Lake Mburo National park. Arrive this early afternoon to check in. Take a evening game drive where you will expect to see; zebra, buffalo, topi, eland, waterbuck, warthogs and many bird species.

Day 13 - Today we will take you on morning game drive through the acacia savannah and woodlands of the park animals common here are; zebra, impala, eland (the largest antelope specie), buffalo, topi, warthog and the occasional leopard. There's many savannah bird species including; cocqui francolin, lapwings, hornbills. Return for late breakfast. A boat cruise this afternoon on the Lake Mburo an opportunity to see more birds and hippos and other animals at the lakes edge.

Day 14 - After breakfast, 0930am we start out to Kampala via Masaka making a stop at the equator for souvenir shopping and picture taking. Proceed to Kampala. to arrive at approximately 500pm. End of African Safari.

Services included are; mineral water in transit, all park entrance fees, a boat cruise, game drive, accommodation, transportation, driver/guide fees, 1 gorilla permit per person.
Not included are; tips, laundry, food outside the meal plan, beverages like vodka, wine, soda etc.
Terms and Conditions
- Prices and price validity - Prices are quoted in US Dollars and are valid for the specified time but may change. Prices are marked on the current exchange rate at the time of publication and may be affected in case of major variation in exchange rates.
- Reservations - Upon reservation, a minimum deposit of 50% is required of the total cost of the safari. Gorilla permit fees are required at the time of booking the safari. This is a fee of $500 USD. The balance of the safari is to be cleared prior to departure.
- Cancellation - If cancelled within a month before commencement, all paid monies shall be refunded. A little operational cost charge of 10% shall be made.
- Accommodation - The standard pricing policy is for two people sharing a double/twin room. Single rooms are available at supplementary costs. Wherever possible we book rooms with private baths throughout the safari (except on budget/camping).
- Transportation - This depends on the itinerary and number of persons in safari group but is usually by 4WD safari minibus with pop-up roof, large windows and an English-speaking driver-guide. Each client is guaranteed a window seat allowing you a perfect photographic opportunity.
- Insurance - Border-Less Travel Ltd. takes the utmost precaution to limit accidents or losses. However, you cannot guarantee so you are advised to take out an insurance policy to cover personal valuables and medical expenses.
- Liability - Border-Less Travel ensures utmost safety for all of client’s property. However we do encourage our clients to make careful watch over their belongings as any losses incurred shall not be covered. We shall not be liable to injury, loss, damage, accident, delay to persons due to sickness, pilferage, government restrain or weather changes. We will also not be liable for loss of property due to any act of default of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company, or agents rendering any of the services included in the itinerary.
- Note: If for any reason, stated services in our client’s itinerary are not fulfilled, a refund shall be made to compensate for the same.
