Itinerary: Day 1 - Arrive Entebbe Airport, to be met by our staff for transfer to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your time of arrival, go for a city tour, visit the exchange bureau to get local purchasing power, grab a local meal. Welcome! Day 2 - Depart Kampala after breakfast 0900am heading southwest for Lake Mburo National park. Stop at the equator to shop for souvenirs and take photos. Proceed to the park to arrive ad check in. Out for a late afternoon game drive. Wildlife to see here include; zebra, hippo, eland, impala, buffalo, waterbuck, topi and several bird species. The drive today including all stops will be approximately five hours. Day 3 - Early morning game drive in the park to search for more wildlife, this gives you a better opportunity to see the elusive leopard, jackals, hyenas and more zebra. Return for breakfast. After lunch take a boat cruise on Lake Mburo which allows you another opportunity to see several bird species, hippo and buffalo on the waters edge. Day 4 - Depart Lake Mburo at 0900am driving further southwest. The drive today takes you some through amazing scenery; highlands with beautiful tea estates and awesome banana growth canopy into the great east african rift valley. Arrive the park to check in, then go out for an evening game drive. Wildlife here includes; lion, hyena, elephant, waterbuck, Uganda kob and over 1,000 different species of birds. The drive today including all stops will be approximately 5 hours.
Day 6 - Depart 0800am for Kyambura gorge to see the chimps and other primates. Proceed then at approximately 1:00pm to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park host to the mountain gorillas. Arrive to check in, relax or go for an evening village walk and shopping at the craft market. Day 7 - After 6:45am breakfast, head to the information center for a briefing before embarking on the long awaited trek. Gorilla tracking may last only 3 hours or up to 8 hours or more of the day sometimes with rain overhead so be prepared with sturdy hiking boots, waterproof jacket. After a satisfactory trek, return to lodge for a well deserved hot shower and rest. This evening you could shop for souvenirs at the craft market before dinner and overnight stay. Day 8 - Depart Buhoma at 0900am and drive to Kabale for Lake Bunyonyi "the place of birds" This is an ideal place to relax, unwind, swim, canoe, watch birds in un tampered tranquility.
