What they said about us........
"
I have personally traveled in Uganda alongside of Peter Wamono with Border-Less Travel, he is an excellent guide with great knowledge of Africa and the West due to extensive travel. He has excellent people skills. He is culturally sensitive and able to show you the very best in African warmth and hospitality. He has a great sense of humor and you cannot but help enjoy his company. I can only say that I am returning again to Africa to enjoy its beauty, its people and Peter's great company. Border-less travel with Peter as a guide would be the best there is on offer".

| An in depth experience of African culture and living. A complete African village habitation Safari!! |
A community safari gets you into the African/Ugandan community. It exposes to you to the unheard of depths and realities of African living. Spending a few days with the beautiful and hospitable African people in this case Uganda will immensely impact your life. A people so poor yet so generous......
Your stay will see you not only share life with the local people but also expose you to the beauty and wealth of their lives and community. You will be able to go mountain climbing if you are up to it, visit sipi falls one of Uganda's spectacular mountain sights. Visit the local markets, taste some juicy fruit; mangoes, pineapples, several varieties of bananas - Uganda is a fruit basket. The fruit here does not taste like you usual fruit from across the department store, this is the real deal.

Things to note before you arrive and whilst in Uganda......
- Depending on where you are from and this may not really matter, the culture will be totally different, many people will absolutely fall in love with it or downright detest it. Whatever your response, we believe this is a learning experience.
- Taking part in this will give you an opportunity to contribute and make a difference in a local community and will give you a chance to experience the Ugandan(African) culture first hand.
- The Uganda cousine may not necessarily be your cup of tea, and that can be sorted. But it will be great just to share in the food, laughter and humor of the Uganda people.
- Poverty is prevalent in the community so beware of that. Remember our goal is not to feel sorry for the people for that does not help. Our goal is to empower the people and help them see that they can make a difference in their own lives and communities.
- In a society where a hand-out mentality is deeply embraced and practiced, we would like to help people change that and give you an opportunity to offer a hand up and not a handout.
Dress code while in the community.
- In Uganda, ladies tend to wear dresses or skirts and blouses especially so in the the more rural areas.
- The dressing trend in the city however is changing and a lot of western styles have been embraced. However, it is important to note that Ugandans generally prefer to be over dressed as opposed to being under - dressed. As one Ugandan president once said "smartness knows no weather" Ugandans take that seriously.
The food.......
- The food you will expect to eat in the village will mostly include; rice, beef, bananas, beans, corn bread (its called posho or busiima) chicken all prepared the African way. Usually very delicious stuff but, i guess you will have to taste for yourself.
- Uganda has lots of fruit, we could be biased but we think Uganda has the best, most tasty, most natural fruit anywhere in the world. Pineapples, mangoes, oranges, jackfruit and passion fruit. This is usually a source for indulgence.
- In a country where a prosperous person is predicted by their size, it’s a compliment to be told how endowed you are. From history most African men preferred to marry fleshier women, although that is changing a little bit you will notice the preferences.
- Kampala city has quite a wide cuisine for you to choose from ranging from orient to a variety of western dishes.
