Join a tree planting project as a friend of the environment, for 13days apportioned as 8days tree planting, 3 days African safari to Queen Elizabeth national park or Murchison falls National park. Itinerary: 2 weeks Tree planting including 3 days African safari Day 1 - On arrival early morning you will be met by representatives of Border less Travel and transferred to your accommodation. Relax have breakfast, after lunch provision is available for those who need to go change money and buy whatever personal things might be needed for your stay. Dinner and over night at our hostel Day 2 - After break fast travel to the place where the tree planting activity is to be, on arrival you’re shown to your hostel settle. Note: if the destination for tree planting is Mbale ( 250 kilometers east of Kampala near Mt Elgon 14,000ft) make a lunch stop-over in Jinja. Day 3 - Tree planting begins Day 4 - Tree planting Day 5 - Tree planting Day 6 - Tree planting Day 7 - Tree planting
Day 9 - After breakfast an option to go to church enjoy African church celebrations. Otherwise relax at your hostel and rest from the week’s work of tree planting. In the evening prepare to go for a cultural dance show, starts at 6pm. Dinner at the cultural dance center. Day 10 - Depart after early breakfast for Safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a lunch stopover along the way arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mweya hostel. (Budget accommodation) Day 11 - Go for an early morning game drive, in search of hyenas, lions, buffalos, elephants waterbucks and more, have breakfast on return. Relax as you wait for lunch and thereafter proceed for the boat launch at 14hours. Animals to see are: hippopotamus, lots of birds’ etc .Dinner and over night at Mweya Hostel (budget accommodation) Day 12 - Depart for Kampala with a stopover for lunch and a souvenir hunt at the Equator to arrive in the evening. Dinner and overnight in Kampala and prepare for early morning drive to the Airport for flight home. Day 13 - Flight home Note: All the accommodations we plan for volunteers are the basic hostel budget type, with shared bathrooms. Please let us know if you would like to have it differently. Thank you for choosing to be a part of the Uganda experience Cost of the above itinerary $1,550 per person for a minimum size group of 16 persons. This cost covers; Accommodation, meals, tree seedlings, transportation to and from site (if necessary), mineral water on site. But does not cover; beverages like beer, whiskey, vodka, wine etc. soda, coffee, tea, visa, travel insurance, health insurance.
