Build a house for an elderly woman/man (couple) or HIV/AIDS orphans, build a classroom block. Spend 20 days apportioned as, 14 days building Monday to Friday and community work, resting over the weekends, finish off with an African safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park or Murchison Falls N.P for 3days and 2nights. Itinerary: 3 weeks including 3 days African safari Day 1 - This is the day you arrive in Uganda, at the airport you will be met by representatives of Borderless Travel and transferred to your accommodation. If you arrive early in the day there is an opportunity to go out to change money and buy whatever personal things you might need for your stay. Otherwise do everything the next day. Dinner and over night at our hostel/Hotel
Day 3 - Building Day 4 - Building Day 5 - Building Day 6 - Building Day 7 - Building Day 8 - Saturday rest Day 9 - Sunday rest Day 10 - Building Day 11 - Building Day 12 - Building Day 13 - Building Day 14 - Building Day 15 - Be there to witness the opening of the new house before departing for Kampala. Day 16 - Sunday spend the day relaxed; summarize the day at Ndere Center with a cultural dance show, dinner at the Center.
Day 18 - Go for an early morning game drive, in search of hyenas, lions, buffalos, elephants waterbucks and more, have breakfast on return. Relax as you wait for lunch and thereafter proceed for the boat launch at 3pm. Animals to see are; hippopotamus, cape buffalo lots of birds’ (over 1,000 species on record). Dinner and over night at Mweya Hostel (budget accommodation) Day 19 - Depart for Kampala with a stopover for lunch and a souvenir shopping at the Equator. Arrive Kampala at approximately 600pm. Dinner and overnight in Kampala. Day 20 - Depending on flight time, go shopping for souvenirs a representative of Borderless Travel will see you off. Note: All the accommodations we plan for volunteers are the basic hostel budget type, with shared bathrooms. Please let us know if you would like to have it differently.
Build a single classroom block for $10,000 USD and a basic two bedroom house structure will cost $12,000 USD and this will provide, an outside toilet(latrine commonly refered to as the 'long drop' toilet).
