Volunteering at a babies’ /childrens home can be a lot of fun and adventure– look after babies that have been abandoned and picked up and restored. Feed, clothe, bath and play with them. On this package, we take you on a 3 days safari to Queen Elizabeth National park or Murchison falls national park.

Itinerary: 2 weeks including 3 days African safari

Day 1 - On arrival early morning you will be met by representatives of Borderless Travel and transferred to your accommodation. Relax have breakfast, after lunch provision is available for those who need to go change money and buy whatever personal things might be needed for your stay. Dinner and over night at our hostel

Day 2 - After breakfast, head out to the babies home for a brief orientation, go to exchange bureau to acquire local purchasing power, shop for necessities, lunch. Relax for the rest of the day

Day 3 – Full day at the babies home

Day 4 – Full day at the babies home

Day 5 – Full day at babies home

Day 6 – Full day at babies home

Day 7 – Full day at babies home

Day 8 – Full day at babies home

Day 9 – Full day at babies home

Day 10 – Half day at babies home, shopping at the local craft markets for souvenirs

Zebra- wildlife in ugandaDay 11 - Depart after early breakfast for Safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a lunch stopover along the way arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mweya hostel. (Budget accommodation)

Day 12 - Go for an early morning game drive, in search of hyenas, lions, buffalos, elephants waterbucks and more, have breakfast on return. Relax as you wait for lunch and thereafter proceed for the boat launch at 3pm. Animals to see are; hippopotamus, cape buffalo lots of birds’ (over 1,000 species on record). Dinner and over night at Mweya Hostel (budget accommodation)

Day 13 - Depart for Kampala with a stopover for lunch and a souvenir shopping at the Equator. Arrive Kampala at approximately 600pm. Dinner and overnight in Kampala and prepare for early morning drive to the Airport for flight home.

Day 14 - Flight home

Note: All the accommodations we plan for volunteers are the basic hostel budget type, with shared bathrooms. Please let us know if you would like to have it differently.

Cost of the above itinerary $1,150 per person for a minimum size group of 4 persons.

This cost covers;

Accommodation (hostel with shared bathrooms), meals, transportation to and from babies home(if necessary), mineral water(whilst on safari), park entrance fees, boat cruise, game drive.

But does not cover;

Beverages like; beer, whiskey, vodka, wine etc. soda, coffee, tea, visa, travel insurance, health insurance.
